O God, You have taught me from my youth; And to this day I declare Your wondrous works. Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.
Psalm 71:17-18
At FBCH, we believe that every stage of life is a blessing from God, and our Senior Adult Ministry is dedicated to celebrating the wisdom, experience, and faith of our senior members. Our purpose here is to provide a ministry that will help people grow spiritually, serve faithfully, and encourage one another through fellowship and experience the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ. We are committed to glorifying God through our outreach to the senior adults of First Baptist Church Hill and the surrounding area. We strive to enhance their lives through fellowship, intensify their spiritual development, and challenge them to serve the Lord passionately with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength.
What We Offer
Fellowship Groups
Sunday School
At the core of our Senior Adult Ministry is fellowship. Whether it is simply getting together for a meal or a longer outing, our fellowship groups are designed to foster connection, community, and spiritual growth among our senior members.
Engaging discussions focused on Scripture that encourage personal growth and understanding of God's Word. We explore topics relevant to the lives of seniors, helping everyone apply biblical principles in everyday situations.
In-home Visitation
Our In-Home Visitation program is a dedicated ministry designed to reach out to senior adults in our church and community who may not be able to attend services or fellowship activities regularly. Our visitation team can assist with light errands or tasks as needed. We help seniors stay connected to church life; our goal is that everyone feel included even when they cannot physically attend.
Church Transportation
We understand that mobility can be a challenge for some of our senior citizens, which is why we are proud to offer a Church Transportation program. We wish to ensure that every senior adult has the opportunity to participate in worship services, fellowship activities, and church events without the worry of transportation barriers.
