Visitor FAQ

WHAT time should i get there?

We recommend that you arrive about 10 to 15 minutes early, especially if you have children that you wish to drop off in one of our children's ministries. Be aware that while you may park anywhere you like on our campus, we have a few dedicated visitor parking spaces on both sides of the sanctuary.

What should i wear?

You will see our congregation, pastors, and leaders wearing everything from jackets and ties to jeans and t-shirts. Wear what you feel comfortable with and you will fit in. We simply request that everyone dress modestly.

WILL I BE ASKED TO GIVE ANYTHING?

There will be a time in the service where we pass the offering plates. If you are visiting as our guest, we do not expect you to give any money. You will find a “VISITORS CARD” located in the pew pocket. We ask that you fill that out and drop it in the offering plate as your contribution. Please share your prayer request with us on the other side of the guest info section.

Do you provide child care?

Yes! Child care is provided during Sunday school and both worship services. Sunday school is available for everyone over the age of 3. We have a nursery for those under 3. During morning worship, 1st through 3rd graders come into the main sanctuary for the first part of the service. They will then proceed down to children's church, where they will participate in age appropriate small group Bible study.

What does FBCH believe?

At First Baptist Church Hill, our faith is built on the truth of God's Word. We believe in one God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) and that the Bible is the divinely inspired authority for how we live and what we believe. We believe every person is a sinner in need of God's grace, and that Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again to make forgiveness and salvation possible for anyone who repents and puts their trust in Him. Salvation is a free gift received through faith, not something we can earn.

We believe the church is a community of baptized believers committed to living out the Gospel together though loving people, celebrating life-change, and sharing the love of God with our neighbors and beyond. As a church family, we practice baptism by immersion and observe the Lord's Supper in honor of Christ's sacrifice for us.
