From the Garden to Glory

What does it truly cost to be loved? This message takes us on an unflinching journey from the Garden of Gethsemane to the empty tomb, refusing to let us rush past the weight of what was endured on our behalf. We begin in Gethsemane, where the crushing burden of human sin pressed so heavily on Jesus that He sweat what Luke describes as drops like blood. Nothing had physically happened to Him yet, and yet He was already overwhelmed, not by fear of pain, but by the full weight of every sin, every hidden thought, every failure belonging to every person who would ever live. That moment in the garden forces us to ask a hard question: if sin was that devastating to bear, why have we learned to treat it so casually? From the garden we move through the scourging, the cross, and finally to the triumphant empty tomb, where the angel's declaration changes everything. Isaiah's words take on full meaning as we understand that not one stripe was wasted, not one drop of blood was incidental. Every moment of suffering had a name attached to it, and that name was ours. This is not simply a story we revisit once a year. It is the foundation of our identity, our freedom, and our hope.
